A for the Apple, we ate at the fair,
B for the Barber, who shaved off his hair.
C for the Carrot, that dangled on a rack
D for the Duck, that gave a loud quack.
E for an Egg, good for pudding and pies
F for the farmer, rich, honest and wise.
G for the Gingerbread, baked with care
H for the Hat, that sat well on the hair
I for an the Inkpot, all liquid and dark
J for the Joke, that’s cracked for a lark.
K for the Kangaroo, kept in the park.
L for the Lion, who was big and strong
M for the Money, spent all day long.
N for the Necktie, brother just bought
O for the Octopus, who never got caught
P for the princess, with looks very funny
Q for the Queen, eating bread and honey
R for the Rain,that falls all around,
S for the Sun, that dries up the ground
T for the Top, that spins on the floor,
U for Umbrella, for days it may pour.
V for the Van, that had a broken door.
W for the Watch, that told the time right
X for the X’mas tree, with twinkling lights.
Y for the Yacht, sailing in the sea
