Pintu looked out the window. It was raining heavily. He was not allowed to go out in the rain. That was what made Pintu very unhappy. He had nothing to do. Pintu’s parents told him to study but during the rains nobody wants to be buried in the books. He decided he had to do something. He called up his friend Amit. Amit was also getting bored but there was nobody at Amit’s place. Pintu asked Amit if he could come to his place. Amit said that since his parents were not there he thinks he could manage that. Amit lived only a block away.
Amit came to Pintu’s house. Both of them were happy to see each other. They played Scrabble and Uno. Amit then told that they could draw something. So both of them decided to draw the picture of a rainy day. Amit drew a landscape with the rains falling on a playground and Pintu drew a picture of a boy looking out the window at the rains. They each thought that their picture was better.
They argued which one was better. Pintu’s parents came and asked what the matter was. They told them. They saw both the pictures. They then told Pintu and Amit that each picture has a beauty of its own. It is how one foresees the matter and that both of them were wonderful. They were very happy. The rains had stopped by then and they both went out to play happily.
