Can Your Child Become a Model?
Your toddler is the cutest child in the world and is always smiling and photographs beautifully. You really think that he/she can become a great model, and that all the advertising agencies will fall over themselves to make him/her a part of the repertoire.
Step back a few steps and think about this impartially.
We are sure that your child has the looks and the smile to become a successful child model, but there are few more requisites in order to thrive in this field.
The most important quality which is needed is temperament. The child should be a sociable child, able to adjust to other people and crowds easily. He or she should not get phased out, when relative strangers ask them to move on cue or smile at something.
They should also be fairly obedient. We are not talking about obedience as in school norms, but an innate ability to listen to and follow instructions.
Spontaneity is another great attribute among child models. They should be able to respond with laughter and joy to toys or food or a display of affection. It is during these moments that the best pictures or videos are taken.
Children generally have a very short attention span. They begin to lose interest in any activity very quickly and have to be enticed to keep their interest alive. A long attention span is also a great quality to have.
Hence do think about it carefully before you start making the rounds of the offices of agents.
