Children and Colas!

Teenagers can be of devoid of nutrition if they consume large amounts of soda regularly. Drinking soda in huge quantity can lead to several problems in the bodily functions of the teenagers. It can cause fractures of bones and losing of bone tissues. Survey has shown that teenagers drinking soft drinks are prone bone fracture three times more than non-drinkers and cola drinkers are to have bone factures five times more than the normal. The effect of consumption of soft drinks and colas is likely to be dangerous for the growth of the children and as far as nutrition is concerned. Bone mass is built the maximum in the teenagers and consumption of the soda causes to affect the calcium present in the bones, the phosphorous acid of the drinks results in taking out the calcium from the bones.
Parents should make a notice of how much soft drink and colas are consumed by their children, they should see that their children are eating fresh vegetable and fruits so that they are provided with mineral which strengthens the bones. Education about how soft drinks and soda affect the teenagers’ health and bones must be given. Losing of bone tissues were common for old people but it is becoming more popular among the teenagers. Intake of water is very important for children but intake of water must not be done in form of flavored and colored sugared drinks, plain water is there to replace it. Make the children understand and know about the bad effects of drinking soda and soft drinks.
