Food borne diseases for children
Children are more prone to diseases be it airborne, water borne or food borne. Food borne diseases are the most common one in summer days and it affects the children more easily since they have weaker immunity power. Proper preparation of food is mainly important through out the year but during the summer days, it becomes most important. Parents must take proper food preparation especially for the children. They can follow some basic guidelines for avoiding foodborne diseases. Meats which are grilled must be cooked at least to 160 degrees Fahrenheit, for storing raw and leftover foods, adequate quantity of ice must be kept inside the coolers, the hands should always be washed before cooking, eating and after using the restroom and cooked foods should be kept separately from the raw food.
Airborne diseases include diarrhea, cramping in the abdomens, fever, headache, severe exhaustion, vomiting, and at times stools with blood and pus. For all the bacterial diseases, the symptoms may not be the same, it may vary by the amount of eaten contaminants. Generally symptoms do not have an early exposure; but they can tend to remain for a week or ten days. Children who are healthy, for them the food borne diseases do not last long and also do not possess a threat but with children who are not healthy and strong, for them it can become critical. Of course proper medication will surely help. In case of severe symptoms, the children must be immediately for medication and in lesser severe cases it can be done with drinking plenty of water for replacing the lost fluids.
