Veggie kids!!
A Mother struggling to make her child eat vegetables and the child trying hard to avoid his mother is a common scenario in every household. Very few children like eating vegetables and with non-vegetarian food being preferred among most of the children, eating vegetables has taken a back seat. Children should be made understand the usefulness of the vegetables. And if the parents follow a well maintained vegetarian diet which they often fail to do then children will have the necessary nutrients in their body. Eating vegetables helps the children to be healthy. If the vegetarian diet is not well planned then it might lead the children to have some problems and deficiency.
Vegetable are have high amounts of fiber; they are low in cholesterol and saturated fats which are the features of a healthy vegetarian diets. Parents should not force the children eat vegetables but should make them understand the importance of eating vegetables. There are vegetarians who avoid eating red meat and are considered to be half vegetarians and there are some who do not eat food containing animal products that are called vegans. Parents must take a good care of what their children are eating in vegetables, they should see that vegetables which have calories, Vitamin B12, D, iron, and protein, calcium and zinc are taken by their children. Calories are needed for the optimal growth of the children and will make them active and energetic. Make sure that children eat food which will fortify with Vitamin B 12, Vitamin D, iron, calcium, protein and zinc.
