These are places for children to go after their school hours have finished, and before your work hours have finished.That’s typically from 3PM to 6PM. They could be in the school itself, or different premises. Children perform relaxing activites like games, arts, etc here. • Day nurseries
A popular option, day nurseries can care for your child the entire day, full time. It offers a good option for both care and education for your child in a healthy atmosphere. Day nurseries are usually registered with regulatory bodies of the government.
• Home helpers, babysitters, and au pairs.
Home helpers live in your house and look after your children.They usually work in homes where one parent is at home.Babysitters are occassional care takers who look after your child while you go out for a short time. Au pairs are people who live in a foreign country as a member of a local family and help in child care and household work.
• Childminders
A professional care taker who works in their own home.Childminders are usually registered with government regulatory bodies.
The other child care services that could be used are nannies, nursery classes and preschool playgroups depending on the child’s age.A member of your family looking after your child is also a child care option,the cheapest in fact. For eg. grandparents.But its important to ensure that both of you are happy with it.
