Children like to play games…this is no secret at all. But the traditional games played on the streets have been subtly taken over by the market. This is seen through the advent and the consequent development of computer games… games that are played on the computer. This is a huge source of entertainment for the kids who are dazzled by the sporty and flashy graphics on their computer screen.

My eight-year old nephew hardly has any time for others. He is glued to the computer set playing computer games. Kids are generally seem to be more inclined towards the action games that the non-action ones.

Computer games are becoming a great hobby for all children. There are certain reasons which maybe noted here. For instance, the ever-growing communities are not able to provide proper place for children to go out and play. The society as a whole is not able to provide space enough for kids to say play cricket or other outdoor games. Again parents are paranoid about the decaying condition of the roads and also the massive increase in cars and other vehicles that ply on the roads. So parents do not seem anxious enough to let their wards go out and play games; say in a field just beside the road.
The education system too has changed a lot. Now children always face tough-to-cover syllabi which keep them busy throughout with tuitions and the time which they get free they utilize them by playing computer games so that they don’t have to get out.

This has lot of mixed reactions but it seems that no one can underestimate the popularity of computer games in today’s world.
