How Children learn

The process of growth in children’s bodies enchants them. Children are always inquisitive, always post why-how questions to literally everything. Babies cry because they are shifted from a warm, cozy environment of the womb to the loud world. As they experience the changes in their environment and the world, they learn to understand their world better.

According to the recent studies by UNESCO, researchers have concluded that social participation is main activity through which learning actually occurs. Parent’s interaction with their children makes their children acquire the characteristics and behavior that helps them to become effective members of the society.

As a parent, it pays to create opportunities for your children to learn right at home:

• Provide information relating to what they already know. This helps them link information to their existing memory and makes learning quicker.

• Don’t allow their learning sessions to drag for a long time. Make it fun filled and enjoyable.

• Try to make use of all their senses, especially visual means, to help them learn.

• Make use of the early hours of the morning to let them learn. In the morning, the mind is fresh and brain works to its maximum.

But remember that they need relaxing times between the educational development sessions, so give them sufficient space and create a balance between learning and play.
