This may lead to some anxiety in parents about the changes that are taking place in their children. Teens are likely to become sensitive in feelings when people talk about their appearance. Be open Listen to your teen’s ideas. They’ll be more sensitive than ever because you’re talking about their appearance. Therefore, it is sometimes advisable to let teenagers try the fashion that they like as they will also realize later on what looks bad and what looks good on them.
A green streak in her black hair might seem outrageous, but if you tell her that, she may not talk to you about her next new idea.
An important part of being fashionable is also knowing how to cleanse, moisturize and use sunscreen, especially if the fashion a teen wants is about trying cosmetics.
Look at your teen’s magazines and discuss models and clothing. Help your teen to decide which types of clothing would fit best with their individual body type.

Go shopping with your teen. Spend a day at the mall trying on all kinds of different outfits, even those you do not intend to buy, wear, or would not be “caught dead” in. The clothes and styles I tried as a teen were terrible, I wouldnt listen if parents said it looked bad, I wish I listened to them.
