Tips for smart study
A few tips to enhance your learning experience without losing interest:
• Set reasonable goals
• Create a study schedule. Try to schedule various times of the day to study, and this will get you into a routine study.
• Be an enthusiast.
• Study in short, frequent sessions. This will help you memorize quicker.
• Use various study techniques like recording chapters on your music player if you have one, listening to it from time to time, using index cards for review.
• Do not study if you are tired, angry, frustrated or in a hurry. It is important to have a relaxed state of brain to absorb data with ease.
• Sit in the front row of the class. this increases the concentration and attentiveness considerably.
• Don’t miss the crucial first and last minutes of class.
• Its a good idea to use textbooks which have been used before, as it would provide several key insights.
• Review notes after class.Works wonders.
• At home, study according to your comfortable time. Some digest more in the early morning hours, some in the normal time and some are nocturnal learners.
• Volunteer to do or edit friend’s homework or assignment. This will serve as a good learning experience.
• And lastly, Keep up a good appearance.This applies to looks, neatness and handwriting !
